Pruebas de Technology

En tecnología hemos estado preparando pruebas para el escape room usando las escalas. En los problemas al final se obtendrá un resultado matemático que será el que se usará para pasar a la siguiente prueba. Algunas de las mejores pruebas son las siguientes:

TASK 1:

The sacrifice altar of the east dungeon has a width of 3.25 m and a length of 2.75 m. In the plan that is shown in the sect, the altar has a length of 27.5 cm and a width of 32.5 cm. On what scale is the blueprint made?     SOLUTION:    It’s made in 1:10 scale.

TASK 2:

If there are two parts in a house and they are separated by 25 cm. What would be the distance between the two rooms if the scale is 1: 50,000?

Solution:

If 1 cm in the plane       ⇒     50,000 real cm.

25 cm in plane      ⇒     X

X = 25 * 50,000 / 1 = 1,250,000 cm which equals 12.5 km.

TASK 3:

There is a diabolical circle drawn in a paper. If  the circle is 5 centimeters of diameter and it’s scale is 1:50, how many centimeters if diameter has the circle?

SOLUTION:  The real circle has 250 cm of diameter.

1 cm in the scale = 50 cm in real life

5 cm in scale = 250 cm in real life

TASK 4:

If there is a tower drawn in a square that measures 20 cm and says that the scale is 1: 25000, how long is it really? 

Solutión:  0,2x 250= 50m

TASK 5:

We have a wall that according to these data from yesterday measures 432 cm now we have measured it on the plan drawing and it measures 36 cm, which scale have we used to make that drawing of the wall?

Answer: We have used the scale 1:12
